A Garden Terrace Above the Village

Ortisei sits at the entrance to the Val Gardena, a valley renowned for its woodcarving tradition and its position beneath the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage mountain range. The wooded ridgelines visible from the resort mark the beginning of terrain that rises toward peaks such as the Sassolungo and the Sella group further up the valley.
