Set at 4,250 metres in the heart of Sagarmatha (Everest) National Park, this live webcam looks out from the Hotel Edelweiss over the village of Pheriche, one of the most iconic waypoints on the trek to Everest Base Camp. The camera captures a sweeping view of the glacial valley carved between towering Himalayan walls.

Pheriche sits within the Khumbu homeland of the Sherpa people, a region steeped in mountaineering history and Buddhist tradition. The valley serves trekkers and climbers acclimatising on their way toward Sagarmatha, the Nepali name for Mount Everest.
