Fécamp Harbour, Pier & Lighthouse

A historic Norman fishing port

Fécamp is one of the oldest fishing harbours in the region, its quays lined with colourful trawlers and pleasure craft. The camera overlooks the channel where vessels pass between the long jetties on their way to and from the open sea.

The pier and lighthouse

A striking wooden pier stretches across the frame toward the stone lighthouse that marks the harbour entrance, a classic landmark of the Norman coast and a favourite spot for strolling and watching the boats.

The Alabaster Coast

Fécamp sits on the celebrated Côte d'Albâtre, a coastline of soaring white chalk cliffs that culminate in the famous arches of nearby Étretat. The shingle beach below the town is ideal for coastal walks and sea air.
