The Osprey Nest

The camera focuses on a raised nesting platform where a pair of ospreys raise their young. These fish-hawks return each year to the same site, rebuilding their bulky stick nest and hunting the surrounding waters for prey.

The Salt Marsh

Beyond the nest stretches the tidal salt marsh of the Forsythe refuge, a vast mosaic of grass and meandering tidal channels that supports abundant fish and invertebrate life feeding the wider ecosystem.
