Everything you need to know about this live stream
A Glacial Valley in Vestland
This camera looks out from Jostedal Hotel across the Jostedalen valley, one of the deepest glacier valleys in western Norway. The terrain here is carved by ice descending from the vast Spรธrteggbreen plateau, leaving behind sheer slopes, hanging valleys and a floor of green meadows and braided river channels.
The Geisdalsfossen Waterfall
Front and centre, the Geisdalsfossen waterfall threads down the mountainside in a long white ribbon fed by meltwater from the highlands above. Framing it are the peaks of Myrhรธnna and Vangsen, whose upper reaches still hold pockets of lingering snow.
Gateway to Jostedalsbreen
Jostedalen is the classic approach to Jostedalsbreen, mainland Europe's largest glacier and a magnet for hikers and glacier guides. The valley is dotted with small farms, a riverside campsite and hiking trails that climb toward the ice.
A Living Alpine Landscape
With its combination of glacier-fed rivers, forest and high summits, the view captures the raw character of the Norwegian fjord country, a UNESCO-listed region prized for its pristine mountain scenery.
