Gateway to Kap Arkona

This camera watches over the visitor plaza at the northern tip of Rügen island, framing the approach to the twin Kap Arkona lighthouses and the wide, wind-swept grassland that leads toward the Gellort headland, Germany's northernmost point.

Mare Balticum & Maritime Heritage

To one side stands the entrance to the Mare Balticum experience and exhibition center, housed in a former naval command bunker, alongside a dedicated sea-rescue exhibit chronicling the Baltic coast's rescue services.

The Small Lighthouse & Photo Point

The squat Kleiner Leuchtturm and its popular photo point sit within view, drawing visitors before they continue along the coastal path toward the ancient Jaromarsburg ramparts.

Festivals on the Ramparts

Throughout the season the open grounds regularly transform into the stage for open-air festivals and historical markets, with tents, craftspeople and performers gathering beneath the coastal sky.
