The Surf Spot of Northern Oléron
Plage des Huttes is one of the finest surfing beaches on France's Atlantic coast, reached at the very end of the 30-kilometre Île d'Oléron. Its exposure to open-ocean swell makes it a magnet for surfers, bodyboarders and windsurfers of every level.
A Preserved Coastal Landscape
The beach is backed by a belt of protected dunes and pine forest, part of the wild, sparsely built northern shore around Saint-Denis-d'Oléron. The wide expanse of fine sand and constantly shifting Atlantic horizon give the view its spacious, natural character.
Diabolo Fun and the Water-Sports Scene
