The camera overlooks the Limmat river where it carves through Zürich West, the city's reinvented former industrial quarter. The glacier-fed water carries the unmistakable jade-green tint that gives the Limmat its character as it heads toward the heart of the old town.

Art Meets the City

This feed is part of «Der ungezähmte Horizont» (The Untamed Horizon), a Kunst und Bau public-art commission for the City of Zürich by Swiss artist Yves Netzhammer. It reframes an everyday urban riverscape as a contemplative living artwork.
