Peer Gynt Ski Center at Gålå
OnlineThis live view looks toward the timber base lodge of Gålå Alpin, the activity center that gives its slope the Peer Gynt name in Norway's Gudbrandsdalen highlands. A lift tower rises above the ridged, snow-free piste, while parked cars and an event tent mark the everyday bustle of this mountain hub.

The Peer Gynt Base at Gålå Alpin
A weathered timber lodge carries the Peer Gynt name above its entrance, anchoring the base station of Gålå Alpin og Aktiv, the resort's combined ski and activity operator. Sod-roofed outbuildings and a gathering tent line the gravel yard where visitors gear up before heading onto the slope.
Lift-Served Slope
A cable tow climbs the hillside above the lodge, serving a ridged dry piste engineered for skiing without natural snow cover. The corrugated surface and its support towers are the defining features of this compact training and beginner run.
Forested Gudbrandsdalen Setting
Dense stands of pine and spruce frame the clearing on every side, typical of the Gudbrandsdalen valley's high mountain plateaus near Gålåvatnet. The surrounding terrain also carries the region's extensive network of hiking and cycling trails.
Home of the Peer Gynt Legacy
The name pays homage to Henrik Ibsen's celebrated drama, staged each year on an open-air lakeside scene not far from here. Together with neighboring cabins and lodges, this base keeps Peer Gynt country a year-round destination for mountain recreation.
