The Rijnhaven Transformation

The Rijnhaven is a former harbor basin on the south bank of the Nieuwe Maas in central Rotterdam, now the site of one of the city's most ambitious urban renewal projects. This camera, operated by the Municipality of Rotterdam, streams a continuous bird's-eye view of the basin as land is reclaimed and new infrastructure takes shape along its edges.

A New Waterfront District

Plans for the site include roughly 3,000 new homes, a landscaped waterfront park, and floating park sections that will eventually connect the basin's shores. Construction crews, barges, and excavation equipment can be seen working the reclaimed shoreline and the harbor's calm waters as the project advances.

Rotterdam's Skyline Backdrop

Beyond the construction zone, the view stretches across the Kop van Zuid district and the wider Rotterdam skyline, with its mix of modern high-rises and the Nieuwe Maas winding toward the city center.
