Perched above the town, this camera frames the full sweep of Sheridan as it spreads across the floor of a wide intermountain basin. Residential streets, downtown rooftops and surrounding ranch land form a patchwork of green pasture and built-up blocks at the foot of the mountains.

The Bighorn Mountains

Dominating the backdrop, the Bighorn Mountains form a long, jagged wall to the west, their highest ridgelines holding lingering snow well into the warm months. These peaks rise abruptly from the plains, giving Sheridan one of the most dramatic mountain horizons in the region.
