About This Webcam
Everything you need to know about this live stream
The world's northernmost fishing village
Skarsvåg sits at 71° North on the island of Magerøya, a tiny community of weathered timber houses wrapped around a working harbour. Its sheltered marina and stone breakwater shelter a small fleet of fishing boats from the open Barents Sea.
A working Arctic harbour
The protected basin is the heart of the village, where fishing vessels tie up beside quays and slipways. Generations of Arctic fishermen have launched from this same harbour, making it a living window onto Norway's enduring coastal fishing heritage.
Gateway to the North Cape
Just a short drive from Nordkapp (North Cape), Skarsvåg is the last settlement before the northernmost point of mainland Europe. The treeless, wind-swept landscape of green-brown tundra and rugged ridges rolls down to the fjord, framing one of the continent's most remote and dramatic coastlines.
