Totland Bay Shoreline
OnlineThis static shoreline camera looks out from Brambles Chine on the western tip of the Isle of Wight, framing the sweep of Colwell Bay and neighboring Totland Bay where both open onto the Solent. Sailing yachts, ferries, and the occasional freighter bound for the English Channel cross this busy stretch of water in full view, backed by rolling chalk downland and open sky.

A Static Watch Over Colwell Bay
Mounted at Brambles Chine, this fixed shoreline camera holds a steady frame on Colwell Bay and the adjoining curve of Totland Bay, on the far western edge of the Isle of Wight. Unlike a roaming lens, its unwavering angle makes it easy to track the same patch of shoreline and water over time.
A Working Channel
The bay sits on the doorstep of the Solent, the famously busy stretch of water separating the Island from the English mainland. Sailing dinghies and cruising yachts share the channel with the occasional deep-sea freighter making its way toward Southampton and onward to the open English Channel.
The Island's Wild West Coast
Behind the water, the chalk downland of the western Wight rolls away toward The Needles and Alum Bay, giving this stretch of coast an open, windswept character quite different from the Island's busier northern harbours.

The feed is run by isleofwight.com on full-fibre broadband, part of a small independent network of cameras placed around the Island to share its everyday coastal life with viewers anywhere in the world.
