A Bird's-Eye View of an Episcopal City

Mounted on a twenty-story residential tower, this camera gives a rare elevated perspective over Veszprém, a city whose roots as a Hungarian bishopric stretch back over a thousand years. From this height, the compact old town unfolds as a dense weave of terracotta roofs, courtyards and narrow streets radiating out from its historic core.

The Fortified Castle District

On the hilltop, the walled Castle District stands apart from the newer town below, its cathedral tower and fortified ramparts still tracing the outline of the medieval citadel. This is the oldest continuously inhabited part of the city, and the silhouette of its historic skyline remains one of Veszprém's defining landmarks.

Rooftops, Spires and the Old Town Below
