The Laguna de El Oso is a shallow lagoon set among rolling farmland in the province of Ávila, its margins thick with reed beds that shelter a wealth of wetland wildlife. This camera takes in the open water from a fixed vantage point, giving a broad view of the birds that gather across its surface.

Dabbling Ducks and Open Water

Small groups of dabbling ducks paddle and forage across the lagoon, dipping beneath the surface for aquatic plants and invertebrates. The still, reflective water and surrounding reeds create a quiet feeding ground away from disturbance, typical of the region's protected wetland habitats.
