Marking the 31.5-kilometre point of Highway 14A, the Wuling Pass reaches 3,275 metres above sea level, the loftiest stretch of paved road anywhere in Taiwan. The camera captures the sweeping saddle and its stone-railed observation deck.

Once known as Sakuma Pass, this crossing has long linked the island's mountainous heartland. Vehicles and visitors move steadily across the high road as the camera keeps a continuous watch over one of Taiwan's most celebrated summits.
