Santiago Province

Location and Geography

Santiago Province is situated in the center of the Santiago Metropolitan Region, occupying a privileged position in the Chilean central valley. It borders the Andes Mountains to the east and the Coastal Range to the west, creating a spectacular mountainous landscape that frames the region.

Administrative Characteristics

This province includes Santiago city and numerous municipalities such as Lo Barnechea, Las Condes, Providencia, and Ñuñoa, among others. It concentrates the largest number of inhabitants in the country and constitutes the political, economic, and cultural nucleus of Chile, housing the main governmental and business institutions.
