A Landmark Osprey Pair

This camera provides an aerial perspective of the nest occupied by Blue CJ7 and Blue 022, whose return to breed in 2022 marked the first successful osprey nesting in Southern England in almost two centuries. Blue 022 was translocated to the area as part of a wider osprey reintroduction effort, while Blue CJ7 hatched at Rutland Water before establishing herself in Poole Harbour. Their pairing represents a significant milestone in restoring breeding ospreys to southern England.
