A View From Below the Surface

Most of the Raccoon Saloon cameras look outward across the property's grounds; this one looks the opposite way, mounted underwater in Mikes Pond to reveal the world beneath the reflective surface that the other pond cameras only show from above. Suspended sediment and dappled light give every frame a soft, atmospheric quality.

Small Fish and Aquatic Plants

Small pond fish thread through the frame near a submerged de-icer unit, while the trailing stems and blossom of a water lily rise from the pond floor toward the light above. The mix of still plant life and passing fish makes this one of the more contemplative feeds on the property.

Tracking the Pond's Conditions

A burned-in water-temperature readout accompanies the underwater view, giving longtime viewers a simple way to follow how the pond's conditions shift across the seasons even without seeing the surface itself.
